3. Once you have decided on the style you want its then time to determine the size and hight of your raised bed. The recommended width is about 4 feet wide, this is for easy weeding, planting, and waterings. But of course, the design plans are in your hands, so make the bed as wide as you please. The average height of the box is about a foot deep. If you have mobility constraints it might be better to create a hight box that is around 32 inches deep.
